Playful Pryor Creek: Turning up the volume. Turning up the value.

As gateway to Green Country’s wealth of water fun, Pryor Creek has always offered more ways to play with its convenient proximity to three area lakes, including the panoramic Lake Hudson and the magnificent Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees. Created by the history-making Pensacola Dam constructed by the Grand River Dam Authority, Grand Lake serves up 1,300 miles of shoreline and 46,000 acres of go-with-the-flow water fun, recreation and sport. The views are equally scenic and the options just as inviting at Hudson Lake.

So many choices—and so little cost: Everywhere you play in the Pryor Creek area, affordable costs mean you can pack more fun into every adventure. And recreation isn’t the only high-volume, high-value attraction here. Our events are stars of the region.

Pryor Creek events are celebrations of a lifetime, every time. That’s because our year-round celebration calendar is supported by critical partnerships between community organizations, business, government and private citizens. Highlights include:

This genre-spanning rock festival first began Memorial Day weekend in 2007, with 8 bands over four days drawing more than 100,000 concertgoers. Since then, each Memorial Day weekend it’s just gotten bigger and better: More stages, amped up star wattage, bands that number in the dozens. However you like to rock it—hard, progressive, Southern or classic, heavy metal or glam metal—Rocklahoma is the ticket.

DAM J.A.M Bicycle Tour:

This annual one-day supported bike tour through Green Country’s most spectacular rolling hills and scenery that includes numerous rest stops and is fun for the whole family. The tour lays out rides of 30, 55, 71 or 101 miles.

Browse everything from saddles to soap, homemade quilts to vintage pistols, Western-themed décor (including hand-crafted Western furniture) and more. Buggy rides, period reenactments, live music and other entertainment make this West-fest market day one-of-a-kind fun.
